BuddyPT is one of the products offered by VCINCH Technologies Pvt Ltd. BuddyPT provide a software platform that enables health and fitness businesses to manage operations and offer health and fitness coaching, whether in person or online.

Planning workouts and diets, scheduling and sharing content, messaging (in-app, email, SMS, push), logging personal health information, payment services, and offering tools to help businesses communicate, receive analytics, and expand their enterprises are just a few of the services offered by BuddyPT.

We primarily serve as a processor on behalf of Trainers (as defined below), who are responsible for creating and maintaining their own privacy notices for their Clients (as defined below). Only in the limited cases when we are a controller may our Privacy Policy apply (as described below). Trainers, clients, and other Platform users may provide us with the following information on or through the Platform. If you contact us, we may keep a record of your correspondence (including email addresses). Information about the transactions you conduct on the Platform.

Personal Information We Collect from Any Users of Our Platform

Your Platform search engine queries. Information that you input on the Platform when filling out forms, such as those to sign up for our newsletter, react to surveys, participate in competitions or promotions, or to report a problem. We may obtain personal data about you from third parties, including other users and payment processors.

Additionally, you have the option to provide data that will be printed, displayed, or sent to other platform users or other parties (collectively, “User Contributions”). You post and send your User Contributions at your own risk. No security measure is flawless or impregnable, so please be aware of that. Furthermore, you may choose to share your User Contributions with other Platform users, but we have no control over their behaviour. As a result, we are unable to and can not promise that unauthorised parties won’t see or access your User Contributions.

Information We Collect Directly from Trainers

When Trainers use the Services, we need personal information about them in order to bill them for subscription fees and any other applicable payment service fees.

We are typically only serving as a processor with respect to any Trainers who access the Platform through the gym or studio where they are employed; the gym or studio owner will be the controller and ultimately accountable for how their staff’s personal information is utilized.

However, in order to protect our legal rights, we could be compelled to act as the controller for the following types of Trainer personal data processing. Basic information about yourself, such as your name, date of birth, gender, and email address. Identifying information about your company, such as its size and nature. Our payment provider collects and processes payment information.

Information We Collect Directly from Clients

To enable clients of Trainer to access the Services, BuddyPT gathers personal data about those clients. When we gather and process personal information about Clients, we typically do so only in the capacity of a processor; the Trainer, who is ultimately in charge of how their Client’s personal information is used, is the controller of any personal information we lawfully collect for our marketing purposes. However, we might be obligated to treat the following categories of client personal information as a controller in order to comply with our legal requirements and regulatory obligations:

• Basic contact and personal information (including your name, date of birth, gender, and e-mail address).
• Password and user name.

Collection of Health Information from Apple Health and Google Fit

BuddyPT utilizes functionalities provided by Apple Health (for iOS devices) and Google Fit (for Android devices) to access health and fitness data as authorized by our users. This may include, but is not limited to, information such as step counts, workout sessions, heart rate, calories burned, and other health-related data available through these platforms.

Purpose of Data Collection

The health information collected from Apple Health and Google Fit is used solely to enhance the user experience within BuddyPT. We provide this data to authorized trainers or fitness professionals to enable them to tailor and optimize workout plans, monitor progress, and provide personalized fitness guidance to our users.

User Control and Consent

Users have full control over the data shared from Apple Health or Google Fit and can choose which specific data types are accessible to BuddyPT. Access to health data is granted by users explicitly through their device settings and can be revoked at any time.

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of all health information collected. We employ industry-standard security measures to protect this data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Automatic Data-Collection Technologies
